Why would that matter, you ask?
Remember the anxiety leading up to “picture day” in the past? Yeah, that’s no more. I’m here to take your photography experience from frazzled frenzy to fun and fabulous. I aim to provide a unique experience truly customized to help your vision come to life.
Being an American (and Canadian 😉) citizen living in Israel, helps me understand the pure captivating feelings when walking through ancient cobblestone alleys and curved archways in Jerusalem… I have the perspective of an outsider, with the ease of a local, to help you capture the magic of Jerusalem and memorialize the moments forever!
You say, “But my kids are terribly behaved during photo sessions!” No worries… I have a secret to share… I used to teach preschool kids for many years, and found their little worlds fascinating. After I stopped teaching, I needed a way to get back into their lives. I missed them… I never dreamed I’d be a photographer, but what better way than combining my love for art and children?! And so, Margulis Lebovits Photography was born!
Once you booked your session, you will fill out a questionnaire telling me a bit about your vision for the session. This will help me plan the session with your desired end results in mind. We then schedule a pre-session consultation either in person, (recommended) zoom, or over the phone. We discuss clothing options, locations (if session is outdoors), colors for studio sessions, etc. If you already know where you’ll want to hang your pictures, we will discuss that as well, so I can capture images suitable for that space.
Here’s the fun part! I never put a time limit on sessions, however they generally take between 1-2 hours. (Longer for newborns). Bring along as many clothing changes as you’d like. As long as the child/ren are cooperative, I’m happy to keep going. My goal is to provide a stress free, fun experience. Sometimes the child may actually perform better if mom isn’t around. In that case, you’re free to walk out for a bit. Enjoy your break!
We will schedule a time within a week after the session, to come down to the studio to view and order your images. I will guide you through the entire process, to make it smooth and hassle free. I will show you album options, wall art choices, and custom framing designs as well. Anyone involved in the final decision making process is welcome to join! We will now choose what you would like to purchase, how you would like them displayed, and finalize all the details.
Once you selected your images, I will get to work and add some magic pixie dust to them and make them frame worthy. This part takes 2-4 weeks. (If you need them sooner, discuss that at your ordering appointment to see if we can accommodate your needs.)
Once all the images are edited and albums are designed, they get sent off to the lab for printing. At that point it’s entirely dependent on their timeline. Generally 2-3 weeks for prints and albums, and 2-6 weeks for wall art. (Plus shipping time and customs clearance.) Allow more time during holiday season.
